Anne M. Dadura, LCPC

While not all of the therapy may meet your expectations, and your symptoms may become more pronounced at different points during the course of therapy, therapy is hopeful work. Much of the work can ultimately help with shifting your inner perspective in a healthy way, which assists in dealing with painful feelings, making sense of difficult memories, learning coping skills, or resolving problems. Whatever the issue, the work is based on the assumption that therapy paves the way for clients to utilize their innate capacity to create solutions for themselves. It is my mission, a privilege, and an honor to work with clients along their journey to true happiness and health.

I am Internal Family Systems (IFS) - informed.
I accept Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Cigna, Harvard Pilgrim, HP Student Resources, Humana, Maine Community Health Options, and United Healthcare insurance coverage.

My approach to therapy is to honor where you are, and I tailor our sessions to meet your needs. I believe therapy is a way of being, as opposed to a set of techniques, and an individual’s human nature is viewed in a positive light, incorporating the belief that people naturally move toward becoming fully functioning.

My intentions as a therapist include:

  • Helping you to facilitate your own change
  • Uncovering who you are; honoring your voice and your path
  • Embracing your dreams and how to pursue your passions
  • Helping to forgive and release people, situations and your past
  • Getting you unstuck
  • Supporting you through grief and loss
  • Building your foundation and your self-confidence
  • Assisting in transitions
  • Intercepting old habits; interrupting negative patterns
  • Uncovering co-occurring disorders
  • Working on drawing boundaries and communicating with others
  • Putting a stop to enabling
  • Finding peace; creating balance
  • Giving yourself permission; allowing your light to shine
